IC 5146 – The Cocoon Nebula

Description:

IC 5146, the Cocoon Nebula is 15 light years in diameter and is located only 4000 light years from us in the constellation Cygnus. It is a very active star nursery. Professional X-ray telescopes have identified hundreds of young, forming stars there.
