SH2-136 (VdB 141) – Ghost Nebula

Description:

Sh2-136, also known as the GhostNebula, is a reflection nebula and an emission nebula located about 1,500 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cepheus.

This group is actually a “Bok globule”, a mass of dust and gas within which star birth can begin. These globules most often lead to the birth of double or multiple star systems.

Mount: Paramount MX+
Camera: ZWO ASI 2600 MM and Baader CMOS-optimized LRGB filters
Exposures: 59 x 6 minutes in luminance and 40 x 6 minutes in RGB colors
