Veil Nebula
Description:
The Veil Nebula. A cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus. It is the material ejected during the explosion of a star as a supernova several thousand years ago. Image taken with a duoband filter isolating Hydrogen-alpha (in red) and Oxygen-III (in blue-green).
